Astros Misspell Highly Touted Prospect George Springer's Name in MLB Debut

Welcome to the majors, rookie.

The Houston Astros called up highly touted prospect George Springer on April 16, and the outfielder made his MLB debut later in the day. It was a big night for the organization and Springer, but the scoreboard at Minute Maid Park put a damper on things by misspelling Springer's name.

It must have motivated the 24-year-old, because he recorded his first major league hit in that at-bat.
