Mark PattersonUK Staff WriterApril 17, 2014

Gareth Bale's wonder goal, which won Real Madrid the 2014 Copa del Rey final, has spurred a mock speeding ticket from a cheeky fan.

The Wales winger blitzed past Marc Bartra at full speed, despite having to run off the field of play, to set up his solo goal.

ESPN have the goal here:

Did he run so fast he broke a speed limit? A fan in Spain reckoned so:

There are some terrific nuggets of information on the charge slip, including the vehicle details:

  • License plate: 11
  • Class: Much
  • Make: And scores (In Spanish "marca" can translate both to "make [of car]" and "he scores"
  • Model: No, not at the moment

Team-mate Xabi Alonso said it was a goal unlike any he'd ever seen—and that came as a man who's been watching Cristiano Ronaldo at close quarters for years now.

"It was incredible, I have never seen anything like it," Alonso was quoted in the Daily Telegraph. "It look like the ball was going out, but he kept pushing and ran off the field to get it. It was amazing."
