The Cleveland Indians have the unenviable task of replicating a magical 2013 with a few vital arms leaving the city.
Ubaldo Jimenez and Scott Kazmir are gone and Chris Perez is out bolstering the Dodgers bullpen, leaving the rotation and bullpen to some young arms.
So far we have had mixed results.
In the video above, MLB Contributor Gabe Zaldivar identifies some of the biggest trouble areas for a relatively young team hoping to make it back-to-back appearances in the MLB postseason.
One thing we noticed from a shaky start is that the Indians have more than enough to make that happen despite the likes of Justin Masterson and Corey Kluber struggling.
Of course, they are going to need consistency from the staff this year, not merely a second-half push like last season.
As for offense, a return to healthy stardom would be nice from the likes of Michael Bourn, who replaces Nyjer Morgan going forward.
With talent all around, the Indians should once again compete in a tough division. However, we would love to hear what you think their biggest need is heading deep into 2014.
