Real Madrid will be without star man Cristiano Ronaldo for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on Wednesday night.

The Portugal international has been ruled out of the game at Valencia's Mestalla Stadium with a hamstring injury, as Antony Kastrinakis of The Sun (subscription required) reported.

Kastrinakis believes the stage is now set for Gareth Bale to emerge as a hero for Real against an out-of-form Barcelona team.

But will the absence of Ronaldo have an adverse effect on Real when they challenge their rivals in the Copa del Rey final?
