Five Super-Sleepers to be found in this year's draft
As July and August come quickly so do many fantasy football drafts. And while most know who will go in the first couple of rounds and have ideas of who to take in the middle rounds. This isnt about those rounds, this is about finding some who plays like a 3-5 round pick found in the last couple of rounds. Or in other words "Super-Sleepers"
Here are 5 guys i think could really emerage as a guy who could make an impact on some teams.
5. Kevin Jones
Kevin Jones is spotted at number 2 on the depth chart for the Bears. Although many reports say that he will be given more carries this year, thats not what puts him in this article.
Hes here because he should be left in the latter rounds. While people are taking players like Glen Coffee and LaSean McCoy, grap him. And the biggest plus that Jones can offer is that he will be the primary back if Forte goes down...
Id give him 300-500 yards and 2-4 TDs
4. Earl Bennett
Bennett didn't really get the rasp of the NFL last year as the playbook was a little tough for him to learn. So why is he being labled as a sleeper?
Jay Cutler, his college quarterback at Vanderbilt has been brought in to Chicago via trade. Bennett had his best year with Cutler throwing him the ball and that was his freshman year. Now that both have polished up their skills and ready to be an even better duo at the next stage.
He is also the second reciever on the depth chart with only two other recievers who have caught a ball in the NFL. So he probably wont face any though opposition for the gig.
I see him putting up nearly 600 yards and 4-5 TD's
3. Greg Jones
With the Departcher of Fred Taylor, and Maurice Jones-Drew never having been a feature back, I see the fullback out of Jacksonville come back into the fold.
After putting up over 500 yard and 4 TDs for the Jags back in '05. He sat out a whole season when he tore his ACL in training camp. He was used Primairly as a fullback the last two season see as they already had two great backs carring the ball.
I see him being used in short yardage situations and Goalline carries even though MJD has shown he knows how to get it in.
2. T.J. Duckett
Duckett is a guy who shows up one year and disappers the next. In '05 his last year with the Falcons he had nearly 400 yards and 8 tds. In '06 he became a gypsie traded from Atlanta to Washington to Detriot. Lets just say that was a down year. In detroit he was the back up to Kevin Jones in '07. When Kevin went out with a Torn ACL Duckett came in and got 300 yards and 3 tds in the final 5 games.
Last year he was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks and reunited with his former headcoach Jim Mora. He really didnt get much playing time as they had Julius Jones and Maurice Morris getting most of those carries(Homegrin favored Morris over Duckett).
With Mora once agian the head coach and Morris gone to Detroit. Its not hard to say that Duckett will get major playing time in the redzone, Especially with Julius Jones the lead role.
I see near 400 yards and 9-10 tds for the big man this year.
1. Chris Henry
The man with all the off field problems was on the brink of being a reliable player. Then he started to get in trouble with the law, got suspended, got cut, and now back and being praised by Carson Palmer.
With Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson being one meltdown away from pissing off the whole lockerroom, TJ Houzmanzada gone to Seattle, and Coles trying to learn a new offence, Henry looks to possibly being a number 2 receiver or a number 3. Which is just as good because Cinci will probably be playing from behind most of the year agian.
In the '06 season he managed to get near 700 yards and 9 TD's. I think he'll be able to get at least back to those if not better this up coming season.
