Are the New York Rangers out of the series with the Pittsburgh Penguins already?
Not yet. Yes, the Penguins have taken the first two games in Pittsburgh, but as everyone knows the Rangers are a great team at home, and the Pittsburgh Penguins couldn't pull out a win in New York at all during the season.
Granted, the playoffs do change everything, but the Penguins are going to have to step up their game the next two games if they want to come out of New York still leading the series.

The first game the Penguins showed the Rangers that they can't sit back on a lead, game 2 the Rangers offense didn't show up and they couldn't keep the Pens from scoring just once. The Rangers need to combine what they have done in the first two games if they want to beat the Penguins. If they can score a few goals and shut down the Pens big scorers they can beat the high flying Penguins.
The Penguins big scorers were not in the spot light in game 2. Instead it was the Pens third and fourth liners that got the job done. Jordan Staal got the game winner and Adam Hall got the empty netter, and the rest of the role players for the pens helped shut down the Rangers. Fluery had his A game in a game he needed to prove he was still a top goaltender after a poor performance in game 1 where he gave up a postseason high 4 goals.
If the Penguins want to finish off the Rangers, the Pens are going to need the top players to score and Fluery to bring his A game to New York.
