Please, don't tell Jaguars safety Johnathan Cyprien that he did not meet George Bush, because we don't want to ruin what seems like a beautiful moment for him.
Using tools such as sight and your ability to recognize familiar faces, most of you will notice that the man in the picture with Cyprien is merely just a man who may or may not carry the name George Bush; we just don't know.
What we do know is that he is not one of either of the Bush men who held the title of President of the United States. This, of course, leaves the possibility that this is George Bush, President of the Super Sweet Shirt and Tie Club; we just can't be sure.
Now, we do have to note that Cyprien is merely making a joke, calling this goofy guy Bush in the hopes of garnering laughs.
Even ESPN got in on the fun:
However, this was all just a joke from Cyprien:
@1JagHomer some people just don't get it— Cyp (@J_Cyprien) April 14, 2014
And really, you can't blame the Internet for foolishly believing Cyprien was duped, because we have seen it before.
According to Andy Gray of Sports Illustrated, Cyprien was at the 16th Annual Guns N’ Hoses Charity event, where he spotted this man who may have been a performer or just some guy with the rootinest, tootinest wardrobe around.
Then there was this image of ladies taking a picture with Not Dwight Howard:
The caption reads: "My sisters and I with NBA Superstar Dwight Howard!!! We really enjoyed our encounter with him despite not knowing his name until looking him up as he said to, LOL! He was really nice, super cool, HUMBLE, and had us laughing too!"
We even had a breakdown of some of the more memorable moments of fans taking pictures with faux athletes, which should tell you how readily this all happens.
So Cyprien knows exactly what Bush looks like and was just lobbing a joke grenade onto the Internet. As you can see, it exploded in much the way things like this do nowadays.
Thanks for the laugh. If you need us, we will be online looking for that shirt and tie.
