NBA players have been known to block dead-ball shots quite frequently, but one attempt during the game between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday nearly caused an injury.
After a timeout call, Pacers swingman Paul George nonchalantly heaved up a three. Russell Westbrook blocked it, sending it back to George Hill, who then tried to take another three. Westbrook again swatted it, only to fall over backward.
Fortunately, Westbrook was alright, but the Thunder went on to lose, 102-97.
