Entire Minor League Team Pranks Jeff Francoeur into Thinking Teammate Is Deaf

After signing with the San Diego Padres, outfielder Jeff Francoeur found himself in Triple-A with the club's affiliate, the El Paso Chihuahuas. 

What awaited him there was an elaborate and time-consuming prank. 

The entire team convinced the nine-year MLB veteran that pitcher Jorge Reyes was deaf. The trainers, players and coaches were all in on the month-long hoax, and they pulled it off to perfection. 

What came after was a hilarious short film exposing the truth. To Francoeur's credit, he took it all in stride and even shared a few laughs.
