The Miami Heat took a huge step to securing the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a 98-86 win over the Indiana Pacers. Miami used a big third quarter run to separate from Indiana and play enough defense to have it hold up.

LeBron James led all scorers with a 36 point performance. The Pacers struggled offensively with All-Star Roy Hibbert scoring only five points and grabbing a single rebound.

While the No. 1 seed in the East isn't locked down, Miami made a big statement that the defending champs are going for another ring.
