When a fan takes the time to make a sign and take it to a game, athletes tend to acknowledge the fan. The Golden State Warriors' Harrison Barnes took it up a level recently.

A female fan took a sign with a marriage proposal to Barnes on it to a recent Warriors game. The second-year player surprised the fan with a card, which left the fan blown away:

Nice touch.

What were the chances that Barnes would actually take the time to send the fan a signed card?

Any time you can use Dumb & Dumber's classic line, do it.
