What's going to happen on this edition of Smackdown? Who will fight Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the Bash? Who did Smackdown receive for CM Punk and Rhyno? Who is the Legend Of Smackdown, Gary Williams or Sting? All this, and more, will be answered tonight, on Smackdown Xplosion.

Segment #1: Intro Of The Show

*Smackdown video plays with “Hail Destroyer” by the Cancer Bats*

Joey Styles: Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown Xplosion! I’m Joey Styles, alongside my broadcast partner, Don West, and what a show we’ve got tonight!

Don West: That’s right, but I want to see CM Punk take on Kurt Angle in a unification match! For both freakin’ belts!

Styles: This past Monday, Smackdown owner Ben Sampson, ECW owner Scott Beeby, and Raw owner Adam Roberts all met on Raw Impact, and CM Punk is now a Raw Superstar!

West: Not for long, though! Once he loses the belt, he’s right back here on Smackdown.

Styles: He might be fending for himself, as Rhyno declared himself a contender in the 6-man Elimination match at the Bash for CM Punk’s title.

West: Of course, we couldn’t just send the Badass Punks away for free…so we got John Morrison and The Miz, the New Rockers! Wow!

Styles: Tonight, they are scheduled to face the Religion of Ring of Honor, Jack Evans and Austin Aries. But, backstage is Jeremy Borash, with the inside scoop.

Segment #2: The New Age Rockers, baby!

(Titantron focuses on Jeremy Borash)

Jeremy Borash: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Smackdown! With me, I have the re-named team of John Morrison and The Miz: The New Rockers.

(Camera zooms out to show Morrsion and Miz)

Borash: First off, John Morrison, well, why’d you want to come to Smackdown? After all, Raw is the A-show of the WWE.

Morrison: We…no, I agreed that we’d come to Smackdown, because we have potential, but that potential has to grow.

Miz: John, does potential really need to get better? We are the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history, we are 2-time Slammy Award winners, and we are the next Rockers! If you think we need work, you can stay here; I’m going back-

Morrison: We can’t go back now. Once CM Punk loses that title, we can go back. Besides, Miz, Shawn said we needed to work around our rough edges, and I think you have a lot of them.

(Borash smirks)

Miz: Hey!*sigh* I guess you’re right. But, anyways, here’s the picture; in life, there are winners, like the New Rockers.

Morrsion: Also in life, there are losers like Jack Evans and Austin Aries.

Miz: Hey, Jack, Austin, we’re going to give you a little pep talk, and it’s going to be quick…

Morrison/Miz: BE JEALOUS! Cause the New Rockers Say So!

(Crowd cheers; “Ain’t No Make Believe” plays)

Miz: That’s our cue.

Morrison: Let’s go!

Match #1: John Morrison and The Miz vs. Austin Aries and Jack Evans

(Morrison/Miz come out)

Mean Gene: The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall. Approaching the ring, representing Raw.John Morrison. The Miz. The New Rockers!

(“Cult Of Personality” plays and Evans/Aries come; Jack has microphone)

Jack Evans: Ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at the greatest tag team from Ring Of Honor, Jack Evans and Austin Aries, Generation Next, and followers of the religion of Ring Of Honor!

(Crowd boos; Aries talks into his microphone)

Austin Aries: Now, in that ring, you’re looking at two guys who get the boot for that punk and his big, dumb, hairy beast! Hahahaha!

Evans: Shawn Michaels said they have potential? Ha. Shawn Michaels said that Brian Kendrick had potential? Where is that little cocky string? Oh. Wait. On ECW feuding with a guy who is scared of people seeing his face, and a guy who can fly, but always stays grounded!

(Crowd gives a LOT of heat)

Evans: Let’s just go fight.

(Evans/Aries enter ring)

Match #1: The New Rockers (Morrison/Miz) vs. Generation Next (Aries/Evans):

Evans and Morrison start the match. Jack Evans decides to slap John Morrison, which pisses John off. He charges at Evans, who jumps over him and executes a springboard back flip into an elbow smash.

Jack goes for the pin, but gets a two-count.

Evans grabs John into a headlock. He goes over to his corner and tags in Austin Aries. Aries tells Evans to hold him up and tackles Morrison, followed by a series of punches. Aries jumps the ropes and launches himself over for a backwards elbow drop, and rolls Morrison up.

1…2…no! Morrison kicks out.

Evans charges into the ring, but is met by the Miz. Both men trade punches, with Miz getting a knee to the gut, Irish whipping Evans, and flying at him with a clothesline, sending both men falling out of the ring. Austin applies a headlock on John Morrison.

The crowd starts clapping for John Morrison to break the hold.

Morrison gets on one knee and elbows Aries in the stomach. Aries still keeps the hold in. Morrison punches Aries in the gut, and Austin Aries lets go of the hold. John Morrison is almost up when Aries pushes the ref and low-blows Morrison. The ref can’t disqualify Aries because he didn’t see the low-blow.

Austin Aries rolls Morrison up. 1…2…3-no! Morrison kicks out for the third time, and Aries starts to let out his frustration.

The crowd starts chanting “Aries sucks!” “Aries sucks!” “Aries sucks!” Austin gets mad and yells at the referee to stop them. That doesn’t work, so he gives them the finger, which only makes them boo. Miz slides into the ring, Irish Whips Aries, and hits a running knee lift. Morrison gets up and hit a Moonlight Drive for the win.

Winners: John Morrison and The Miz

Mike Tenay: Your winners…The New Rockers!

West: Wow! What a great way to debut on Smackdown by beating one of the rising tag teams!

Styles: John Morrison and The Miz, no matter what Austin Aries or Jack Evans have to say, have potential.

West: Coming up next, we have an interview run by me with the Hardyz! That will be sweet!

Styles: Stay tuned for more Smackdown!

Segment #3: Interview With The Hardy Boyz

Display_image

West (on microphone): Hey, it’s Don West, and I am interviewing Matt and Jeff Hardy alongside me.

Matt: Hello.

Don West: Now, Matt, are you pumped for the Bash?

Matt: Oh yeah, it’s going to be great. With all the history between us and the Dudley Boyz, it’ll be great.

West: How about you, Jeff?

Jeff: Well, we invented TLC matches with those guys, so if Ben Sampson could get Christian…then we’d have the ultimate re-match!

West: Now, on a more serious note, what is your opinion on Chris…excuse me, Christopher Hardy and Peter Hardy, the Canadian Hardy Boyz?

Matt: What they did was wrong! The Japanese Experience could’ve had a great match with Team 3D, but Chris-

(“Break The Walls Down” plays and Jericho comes out with Petey Williams)

Jericho: Who are you to judge me? I’m Christopher Hardy, and I’m soo extreme! When will you learn, Matt?

(Crowd boos)

Jericho: Besides, we were already entered in the gauntlet, but we changed our name. You don’t have the right to critize, and neither do any of these hypocrites! (Points to crowd)

Jeff: Alright, what do we have to do to make you guys stop?

(Petey takes microphone from Jericho)

Petey: We want a match for the tag team championship at the Bash!

(Smackdown theme plays, and out comes Ben Sampson, owner of Smackdown)

Ben Sampson: As owner of Smackdown, I’ve seen all the chaos. Besides, you both already had your shot at the titles, but I’ll be fair; next week, your match with the Great Muta and KENTA will take place, and it will be for a future title shot against Team 3D!

(Crowd cheers)

Sampson: Gary Williams and Sting will go head-to-head, but tonight, there will be an all-roster battle royal to determine the number one contender for Kurt Angle’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship. But, it won’t be just be any battle royal; it will be a Wrestling Society X Rumble!

Sampson: Now, what that means, is that there will be electrocuted dumpsters. Burning tables. Barbed-wired baseball bats. You can win by pinfall, submission, over the top rope, or by making your opponent BLEED!

(Crowd goes wild; chants of “E-C-W!” are heard)

Ben Sampson: That’s all I have to say. If you have any problems, I’m always here to help.

(Ben leaves)

Styles: What an announcement from Smackdown owner Ben Sampson!

Don West: How come the Rock wasn’t making the decisions?

Joey Styles: I have a feeling that the Rock is in the Rumble. Anyways, our backstage reporter, Jeremy Borash, has the news on “Wildman” Gary Williams.

Segment #4: Jeremy Borash Interviews Gary Williams

Display_image

Jeremy Borash (on Titantron): Hello, I’m Jeremy Borash, and tonight, I am interviewing the man who will take on Sting…Gary Williams.

Borash: Gary, you’re going up against a man who has done it all in the business, just like yourself. How do you think this match will turn out?

Williams: I don’t know, Jeremy, but I know this: if Sting needs to join a “Mafia” to look strong, then I don’t think he looks like a living legend.

Borash: Do you think the New Event Mafia could be a problem?

Williams: Most definitely. A 5-on-1 attack from them could end my career, but backstage sources tell me Shelton Benjamin and Kurt Angle are ready to kill each other, so I don’t know what will happen.

Borash: Thank you for your time, Gary. “Wildman” Gary Williams, ladies and gentlemen.

(Commerical break:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avYCAgz1wJw)

Match #2: Gary Williams vs. Sting

Display_image

Mean Gene: The following contest is scheduled for one fall.

(“Invincible” by Adelitas Way plays and Gary Williams comes out to a pop)

Gene: From Moncton, New Brunswick, weighing in at 248 pounds…”Wildman” Gary Willllllllllllllllllllliammmmmmmmmmmmsssssssssssss!

Don West: Would you look at the respect Williams gets from these fans?

Joey Styles: It’s amazing!

West: But, can he stand his ground against the Stinger?

(“Slay Me” by Dale Oliver plays and Sting comes out with Kevin Nash and Charlie Haas)

Mean Gene: Accompagnied to the ring by Charlie Haas and Kevin Nash…Sting!

Styles: The intensity on Sting’s face…ever since Gary Williams was signed to WWE, Sting has made it clear that there is only room for one legend…who will that be?

Match #2: Gary Williams vs. Sting:

Williams and Sting lock up. Sting gets in a headlock, but Gary reverses into a backdrop. He goes for a quick pin, but Charlie Haas pull his leg out of the ring and start to pound on the Wildman. Gary Williams fights back, but Kevin Nash joins in, and it becomes a beat-down. Meanwhile, Sting is arguing with the referee.

Suddenly, Mexican Suicide (El Generico & Mil Mascaras) jumps the barricade and attack Haas/Nash, allowing Williams back into the ring. Sting beats down on Williams and puts him in a headlock. Williams breaks it after about 3 minutes and clotheslines Sting. Gary picks up his opponent and hits a Styles Suplex Special (backdrop position+ facebuster).

Williams goes for the pin, but only gets a 2-count. Sting quickly gets up and hits a basement dropkick, sending Williams to the floor. He taunts for the crowd and gets a mixed reaction; without thinking, Sting moves too close to the ropes, and his foot is grabbed by Mil Mascaras, who start pulling.

Sting stomps him off, and turns to face Gary Williams, but “Wildman” picks him and hits a cutter.

Gary Williams goes for the pin…1…2…3! Williams wins!

Winner: Gary Williams

Williams makes his way back to the locker room. Sting paces around the ring in disappointment; Haas and Nash enter to make him feel better, while Generico and Mascaras celebrate with crowd.

Joey Styles: Thank you, Mexican Suicide! For once, you actually do something right! You help out a legend getting his ass served to him!

Don West: That was a noble thing for El Generico and Mil Mascaras to do.

Joey Styles: Coming up next is the Battle Royal for the #1 contendership for Kurt Angle’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

(Commercial Break)

Match #3: #1 Contender Rumble

Joey Styles: Welcome back, and the battle royal’s just about to start! We’re waiting for Kurt Angle, who will be viewing the rumble. In the rumble, once there is only 5 competitors left, the weapons are available for use.

KENTA tries to help his partner, but Amazing Red climbs the turnbuckle and goes for a clothesline, but KENTA grabs him in mid-air and tries to powerbomb him over the top rope, but Red flips him, eliminating KENTA.

But KENTA pulls Red off the apron, and Amazing Red is eliminated.

Meanwhile, Edge applies a headlock on John Cena, while Styles fights Kota Ibushi. Kofi Kingston waits for Styles to turn around, and nails Trouble In Paradise, but he hits Ibushi accidentally, because Styles dodged at the last minute. Styles runs, bounces off the opposing ropes and hits a flying forearm smash, eliminating Ibushi.

In another part of the ring, The Hardyz brawl with their Bash opponents Team 3D. Chris Jericho and Petey Williams attack Team 3D, but Masato Yoshino and Takuya Sugi come over to help even out the fight. Yoshino wears down Jericho and runs at the ropes, but when he comes back, Jericho knocks him down. Y2J grabs Yoshino’s legs and hurls him over the rope.

Petey Williams and Takuya Sugi trade punches on the top rope. To help his tag team partner, Chris Jericho Hardy low-blows Sugi, but Williams puts Takuya in a powerbomb position, and hits a Canadian Destroyer over the top rope.

Jeff quickly takes care of D-Von, while Matt eliminates the other Dudley, Ray. The Rock punches Shelton Benjamin, then bounces off the ropes and hits a clothesline. The People’s Champ gets ready for a People’s Elbow, but when he is about to hit it, Chris Jericho eliminates him by grabbing him and throwing him over the top rope.

Shelton Benjamin is still down and starts to retain his posture. A.J. Styles and Kofi Kignston brawl on the top rope. Kofi Kingston lands a good one, knocking Styles off the turnbuckle. Taking his time to get up, Kingston waits, and then jumps at Styles, but Styles hits a mid-air Enziguri.

Styles climbs the top rope to hit a Spiral Tap, but Shelton Benjamin, with his athletic skills, jumps onto the top rope, and punches Styles. He goes for a belly-to-belly suplex, but Styles turns 180 degress and throws Benjamin off the turnbuckle, eliminating him.

Eliminated: The Rock, D-Von, Ray, and Shelton Benjamin.

Joey Styles: That leaves only the Hardyz, Chris Jericho, A.J. Styles, Kofi Kingston, Edge, John Cena, Tajiri, and Ben Satterly.

Satterly starts brawling with Cena. Both men trade blows, but A.J. Styles intervenes with a dropkick on Cena, and Satterly executes a spinning wheel kick, knocking Cena out of the ring.

(Commerical break: Eliminated: Ben Satterly by Chris Jericho; Matt Hardy by Chris Jericho; Chris Jericho by Jeff Hardy)

Left: Edge, Tajiri, Jeff Hardy, A.J. Styles, Kofi Kingston

All the remaining competitors immediately slide out of the ring and get weapons, Jeff Hardy gets a chair, Tajiri gets brass knuckles, Kofi Kingston also has a steel chair, Edge has a barbed-wired baseball bat, but A.J. Styles has a glass rod. Styles smashes the rod onto Kofi’s stomach; then, he grabs Kofi’s chair and hits him with it.

Tajiri continues the assault on Kingston, hitting him with brass knuckles, but Styles comes back and hits a flying forearm smash, sending Kofi Kingston over the top rope and onto the floor. Tajiri jumps at A.J. Styles, but the Phenomenal One powerbombs him over the top rope.

Meanwhile, Edge and Jeff Hardy are brawling. Hardy gets the upper hand, and bounces off the ropes, but meets Edge’s foot. Edge waits for Hardy to get up. Waiting. Ready to pounce. Finally, when Hardy gets up, Edge spears up through the middle rope. Hardy realizes that he isn’t eliminated and slides back into the ring, but meets Styles’ foot , knocking him over the ropes.

Edge vs. A.J. Styles- the crowd’s been waiting.

Styles kicks Edge. Edge comes back with a punch. Both men start trading punches at the same time, with Edge getting the upper hand and hitting a big boot on Styles. The Rated R Superstar positions himself for a Spear, but when he sprints, Styles dodges the tackle. Edge is mad, which allows Styles to set up for a Styles Clash.

But, in the crowd, the fans can sense something wrong. They know it is not for good. The force moves closer to the front of the barricade.

Suddenly, a masked man jumps the barricade. Security tries to jump him, but he manages to get into the ring. He grabs A.J. Styles and throws him over the top rope.

Mike Tenay: Your winner, and #1 contender…Edggggggggggggggge!

(Masked man pulls off mask; it is Jimmy Rave)

Jimmy Rave: A.J., why did I just screw you over? You’ve been in the spotlight for too long, and now it’s my turn! I will become World champion! I am Jimmy. Rave.

(Crowd boos)

Don West: What a statement, and what a choice by Raw IMPACT!'s Jimmy Rave!

Joey Styles: Good night, everyone!
