Peterson + Favre = ?.

Lots of people have been judging how Brett Favre will play this season in Minnesota (if he does) by last years stats while he was with the New York Jets.  In his lone season with the Jets Favre threw for 3,472 yards, 22 TD's and 22 INT's.  All that  doesn't matter, cause in Minnesota there's a 24 year old freak of nature named Adrian Peterson who ran for over 1,700 yards on 363 carries and 10 touchdowns.

New York is a passing team they don't have any running backs who run for fifteen hundred yards per year. Not having that type of back forced them to go to the air. If you have a 39 year old quarterback who throws almost every down hes going to wear down really fast get hurt and make mistakes.  Of course last year that's what happened to Favre.

If Favre comes back he'll have one of the best backfields in the NFL.  That will take lots of pressure off the soon to be 40 year old quarterback. The additions of Berrian last off-season and this years first round pick Percy Harvin is going to let Favre spread the ball out and air it deep to Berrian or even throw a fade to Rice.
