I certainly think we can say that after the complete butchering of the NFL draft last weekend, Jerry Jones, the ego manacle owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has returned to his form.
I'm sorry if you disagree with me on this folks but that is just the way it is people.
Jones, in my opinion, made a complete mockery of us during last weekend's draft by failing to draft.
The Cowboys needed a second wide receiver and safety. Instead they went more for luxury while blowing chance after chance at better talent than Felix Jones and Martellus Bennett, the tight end from Texas A&M.
So this is what we are stuck with and you have our illustrious owner to thank for it.

Please tell me a receiver that was premier in this draft?
Glenn and Crayton can handle the load and Jerry can pick up a WR in FA next year or in the draft.
Pacman has been known to line up on both sides of the ball as well.
You also don't need to throw if you can run over anyone.
I do not see the need at safety. Roy and Ken is an acceptable duo. Mike is a project and insurance for Jones.
The Cowboys were shrewd, calculated, and cool in the war room. These were excellent decisions for the Boys this year.

Desean Jackson, Early Ducet, Malcolm Kelly anyone of those guys would have been a clear #2 guy and a instant starter. but once again Jerry shits the bed on this one now we don't have a clear #2 and have to
wait until someone is released before or after camps start..So unless Jerry is planing to pull Chad Johnson
out his ass, Dallas is S.O.L. thanks to him

You and Cody both need to look at it from a different angle which is both Owens and Glenn aren't getting any younger and Dallas, after that is on thin ice for wide receivers..so what happens should we lose Glenn
or Owens or both then what? this is why I wanted a wide receiver b/c then Dallas isn't scrambling around
looking for one because they would have all ready had one or two in they're back pockets. So you better
pray they can get through the season unscaved because if not this team is done

Let me preface this: We are all obviously Cowboys fans, and, because of that, I consider you all brothers from another mother and I would never disrespect another Cowboy fan. I just have a very different opinion on our draft. Can you guys please explain to me why we so desperately need a "#2 wide receiver" when we had a WR corps last year (that did NOT contain terry glenn) that broke every single passing record in Cowboys history and most certainly was not "done"? Can you explain to me Tex why picking up a CB and a RB in the first round are "luxury" picks when we have had the most inconsistent pass defenses of all time the last 5 years and our starting (and only pre-draft) running back might hold out because he is upset about his contract? The draft is all about addressing NEEDS, and I cannot imagine in what universe we would need to address our record setting passing game before our pass defense that has been absolutely horrendous in the recent past. Roy Williams is a liability in coverage but a BEAST in the run game. How else do you explain that he has made the pro bowl the last 4 years when every fan who even casually watches NFL games knows that Roy Williams can't cover a 3rd grader? Because he is a game changer when they bring him inside the box, so much so that he has been able to make the pro-bowl 4 consecutive years as a safety with D-II inside linebacker coverage skills. Drafting Jenkins and solidifying ourselves with coverage DB's (especially if Pacman plays) will allow us to put Newman and Jenkins/Jones on an island without fear and will allow us to use Roy Williams down in the box to stop the run. Ken Hamlin at safety is also a Pro Bowler, so starting two pro-bowl safeties to me signifies that we are probably pretty set at this position. The injury concern is a very valid point, but I should clarify one important point: JASON WITTEN is our #2 receiver. The wide-out opposite of my boy for life TO is our #3 option at best, and last year Crayton, Miles Austin and Sam Hurd showed they could step up and make plays where it counted. If TO or T-Glenn go down, yes, our offense will be hurting. That could be said about the other 31 #1 WR's going down to injury on the other 31 teams in the league, and I don't think the reasoning "If TO goes down our offense will be destroyed" is strong enough to waste an early pick on a weak WR class instead of addressing more pressing needs at CB and RB. Recent history suggests that rookie WR's take 2-3 years to develop (see Braylon Edwards, Roddy White from this past year and even our buddy Michael Irvin) if they ever develop at all (see Mike Williams, Charles Rogers, and the plethora of 1st and 2nd round WR's that are drafted that are out of the league in 3 years). The wonder rookies like Randy Moss and Anquan Boldin are the most rare occurrences out there. We need help for TO on the outside NOW, not in 2-3 years when TO is old and our team is totally different. If a WR didn't even get picked in the first round next year by anybody (b/c we def weren't the only team needing a WR), that suggests there isn't that caliber of talent present in this year's WR class. I personally loved our draft (loved the Martellus Bennett pick he is a huge body with great hands and will be a phenomenal asset in both the run and the pass game in two TE sets, especially cuz we lost Fasano), but the bottom line is this: look me in the face and tell me we aren't the favorites to come out of the NFC. Regardless of what we think of the draft, we are taking it down this year. Go mother #$*#$^ cowboys.

Wait so your saying they should draft an below average WR this year because T.O., Terry, and Crayton might get hurt.
Well then they should have drafted a QB in case Romo gets hurt!
That logic is absurd.
Jackson is a flash in the pan. No stats before his senior year. Ducet is way too injury prone. Malcolm Kelly is SLOW and much slower than anyone you could grab in FA after the year if someone was to go down.

i concur, mike, well said!!!!!the talent pool is very deep, seasoned in spots, but deep and i think alittle embarrassed about the way the season ended, and i hope focused on this season and making up for lost time... if we could get em to play with enthusiasm all the way to the end...this could be the year!!my dad told me football and fucking are to be played the same way,hit it like it's the last time your gonna hit it cause it just might be!!!

I would've loved a WR, but Jerry did a great job. He filled our NEEDS. We're close, and we got pieces to help us right now. WR do not succeed in the league right away, unless it is a unique situation. I love DeSean, but we had bigger needs. Needs were addressed to win a Super Bowl this year! Think about it that way.
