Nemanja Vidic has enjoyed some wonderful moments at Manchester United.

In eight-and-a-half years at Old Trafford, he has won five Premier League titles and the Champions League. He has also served as club captain since 2010 when he took over from Gary Neville.

His United career will end this summer when the Serbian defender departs for Inter Milan.

Here are his top 15 moments at United, a nod to the squad number he has worn during his time in Manchester.

Feel free to add your own in the comments section below.

It ended up counting for very little, but Vidic's opener against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg briefly gave United fans hope of an upset.

It was his first goal for the club since announcing his intention to leave Old Trafford for Italian side Inter at the end of the season.

14. Premier League Player of the Month (January 2009)

Vidic had been named Premier League Player of the Month just once, in January 2009.

He helped United win all five of their games without conceding a goal. He also chipped in with goals in a 3-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford and a 5-0 victory at West Brom.

United enjoyed a fine season in 2008-09.

They won the Premier League title and the League Cup and reached the Champions League final in Rome, where they lost 2-0 to Barcelona.

Vidic played 53 times that season, scoring six goals. At its close, he collected both the club's Players' Player and Fans' Player of the Year awards.

Vidic has been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year four times.

The first time that he was acknowledged by his fellow professionals was in 2007 after his first full season in England.

He followed it up with nominations in 2008, 2009 and 2011.

Vidic has been named in FIFA's World XI twice.

He was first selected in 2009 when he made the final team alongside Iker Casillas, Dani Alves, John Terry, Patrice Evra, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Steven Gerrard, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres.

He was voted in again in 2011.

Vidic has scored 20 goals in 294 games for United.

His first was against Wigan at the DW Stadium in October 2006.

After winning the Champions League in 2008, United added the FIFA Club World Cup.

They became the first British club to win it with a 1-0 win over LDU Quito in Yokohama.

Vidic scored in the 5-2 win over Japanese side Gamba Osaka in the semi-final.

Vidic only made his United debut in January 2006. But by the following month, he had already won his first trophy.

With United up 4-0 against Wigan in the League Cup final, Vidic came on as an 83rd-minute substitute for Wes Brown.

It was perhaps the easiest medal he's ever won.

7. The Song

It is not a specific moment as such, but Vidic's place as a firm fan favourite was cemented with the terrace chant dedicated to his name.

For more than eight years, United fans have sung, "Nemanja oohh. Nemanja oohh. He comes from Serbia. He'll f---ing murder ya."

It perfectly sums up his no-nonsense attitude to defending.

Vidic signed for United from Spartak Moscow for £7 million in December 2005. Patrice Evra arrived from Monaco in the same transfer window.

Sir Alex Ferguson had to beat off competition from Fiorentina to sign the Serbian defender.

He made his debut in January 2006 as a second-half substitute against Blackburn in the League Cup semi-final.

Vidic led United to the Premier League title in 2013 in Sir Alex Ferguson's last season as manager.

The knee injury that Vidic suffered in 2011 limited his contribution, but he still made 19 appearances in the league.

He didn't know it then, but it would be his last trophy as a United player after signing a pre-contract agreement with Inter in March 2014.

4. Premier League Title (2011)

The 2011 Premier League title was Vidic's fourth since arriving at the club in January 2006.

But it was his first after becoming club captain. It was also United's 19th, surpassing Liverpool's record of 18.

Vidic played in 35 of United's 38 games, scoring five goals.

With Gary Neville no longer guaranteed a place in the first team, Vidic captained United for the first games of the 2010-11 season.

In September 2010, Sir Alex Ferguson named Vidic as the new club captain. He has filled the role for the last four seasons.

After arriving at Old Trafford in January 2006, the Premier League title that United won a year later was Vidic's first.

Sir Alex Ferguson's team, with Vidic as a regular at the back, finished six points ahead of Chelsea.

It was United's first title for four years.

    Vidic's crowning moment.

Alongside Rio Ferdinand, he formed one of the most formidable centre-half pairings in the world. He helped United win the Champions League in 2008 after beating Chelsea in a penalty shootout in Moscow.
