If the Memphis Grizzlies are going to beat the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, they'll have to do so without Tayshaun Prince.

Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal reported that the veteran forward sprained his left ankle and wasn't able to return:

Mike Miller was subbed on at the start of the third quarter for the injured Prince:

The Denver Post's Chris Dempsey thought that Prince was one of the best players in the first half for Memphis, scoring 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The Grizzlies were down 47-43 at halftime:

They'll undoubtedly need Prince to make a speedy recovery. He's started 73 of the team's 76 games this season, averaging 5.9 points 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists a night.

Coming into Friday night, Memphis was sitting in eighth place but tied with the Phoenix Suns at 44-31. At this critical juncture of the season, the Grizzlies need everybody to remain healthy in order to lock down that final playoff spot.
