I’m sure many, if not most, have already checked up on Manny Parra’s first Triple-A start last night, but I promised to keep track.
Parra’s line last night against Round Rock:
6IP 4H 2R 1ER 4BB 4K 114Pitches (75/39 Strike/Ball)
My analysis: Not a bad start by Parra. Obviously the Brewers want to see his walk totals go down. Command for Manny is the biggest concern. Four walks is a bit high, but his strike to ball ratio was actually pretty good. It’s a step in the right direction in him regaining his confidence.
I’ve heard/read some rumblings about Manny making the June 27 start, which I think is interesting considering they pretty much said there was no way he would start that game no matter what. It will be interesting to see what happens.
