Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker are just three of the huge names that are returning for WrestleMania XXX, but you can add another to the list now—"Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The man who headlined multiple WrestleMania events—and had that iconic tussle with Bret Hart on the grandest stage of them all—will be in New Orleans for the 30th edition of the show, with WWE's official website confirming the news:

The biggest WrestleMania in history just got a whole heck of a lot bigger, now that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has confirmed he will be there! The WWE Hall of Famer revealed the huge news in an interview with TMZ. When pressed for what his role will be, The Texas Rattlesnake said the WWE Universe will have to tune in to WrestleMania this Sunday on WWE Network to find out.

Quite simply, this is a huge coup for the WWE. As big as having The Undertaker wrestle every year is—Steve Austin is arguably the biggest star of the Attitude Era.

He hasn't appeared at WrestleMania for three years, when he refereed the appalling match between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. Frankly, that was a waste of time for someone of Austin's caliber and draw.

The big question now will be simple—what is Austin going to do at the show? Having him influence the outcome of a match would be absolutely brilliant—and is almost what he deserves to be doing. A backstage segment with little impact on the show is of no interest to anyone and is pretty pointless.

No doubt the dream scenario in many people's eyes would be having Austin help Daniel Bryan to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. After almost a year of being denied the title by The Authority, having the original anti-authority guy helping the new breed win the belt would be incredibly fitting.

Even getting involved with the Andre the Giant Battle Royal would be a great moment. Imagine if Austin was to enter the match himself—there are four spots up for grabs in the match still, after all.

One thing is for certain, when Austin's music hits, the crowd will go wild. It will be a reaction almost on a level with the one Daniel Bryan will receive when he emerges for his match against Triple H.

Not only is this huge news for the WWE, it is brilliant news for wrestling fans all across the globe. WrestleMania is all about having the biggest stars from years gone by return—and they don't come any bigger than Steve Austin.

WrestleMania XXX just got a whole lot more interesting with this news breaking, that is for sure.
