Bengals Throwback Thursday Reveals Potential Helmet Designs from 1968

Back in 1968, Cincinnati Bengals founder Paul Brown had to figure out what his team would wear on the field during its inaugural season.

Judging by the photo above, Brown had plenty of options to choose from. There were certainly plenty of interesting designs on the table.

Here's a look at what Brown ultimately picked:

The helmet that he was holding in the top photo was not worn by the team until 1981, and it has been used ever since.
