The Washington Wizards (39-36) clinched a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference thanks to a 118-92 blowout win over the Boston Celtics (23-52) Wednesday at the Verizon Center.
The Wizards shot a blistering 62.5 percent from the field. John Wall was the only starter who didn't hit over 50 percent of his attempts, and he went 5-of-10 for 13 points and 10 assists.
Marcin Gortat scored 22 on 10-of-13 shooting and he wasn't even the hottest shooter on the team. Bradley Beal missed only one shot, scoring 19 on 7-of-8 from the field.
Trevor Booker, Al Harrington and Trevor Ariza all hit double figures as well.
The Celtics were led by a pair of backup big men. Jared Sullinger scored a game-high 25 and Kelly Olynyk added 14.
