What does a meth-cooking evil genius have to do with Israeli soccer? I don’t know, but I like it.

Fans of Israeli soccer side Maccabi Tel Aviv recently unveiled a gigantic banner depicting Walter White from the AMC series Breaking Bad.

Fans hoisted the banner over their heads during a match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Football Away Days (h/t Kyle Koster of spotted images of the impressive (and terrifying) work:

Like a giant, bald-headed Jolly Roger, White’s face leered menacingly over the pitch. It’s a wonder that Hapoel didn’t pack it in, say “You people are nuts,” and get back on the bus.

The English words running along the top of the banner seal the deal. In big block letters, the banner reads: “M Not in Danger. I’m the Danger!”

“M” is for Maccabi, and yes, it appears everyone likes Breaking Bad. Even soccer nuts from Israel are adopting lines from one of White’s most memorable monologues.

Unsurprisingly, Tel Aviv went on to beat Hapoel 2-0. Their next match is Friday against Ironi Kiryat Shmona. We can only presume they’re hard at work brainstorming another terrifying banner.

Trust me. This young man with a breakfast compulsion will strike fear into the hearts of even the stoutest opposition.
