The Heisman Trophy is one of the most prestigious trophies in all of sports. It boasts winners such as Doak Walker, Roger Staubach, Marcus Allen, and Carson Palmer.

Some of its winners faded out quickly, with players such as Gino Torretta, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch, and Jason White taking home the award.

Who will win the trophy this year? Here are ten players that have a great shot.

Honorable Mentions

GLENDALE, AZ - JANUARY 02: Running back Noel Devine #7 of the West Virginia Mountaineers runs for a 65-yard touchdown against the Oklahoma Sooners in the second half at the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium January 2, 2008 in Glendal

There are many different players that could win the Heisman. These guys, however, are very talented but just couldn't crack the list:

Harvey Unga RB BYU, Noel Devine RB West Virginia (pictured), Terrelle Pryor QB Ohio State, and Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma State.

Let's get to the top ten.

10. Darryl Clark/Evan Royster

STATE COLLEGE, PA - NOVEMBER 22: Darryl Clark #17 of the Penn State Nittany Lions smells a rose after clinching the Big Ten title and clinching a bid to the Rose Bowl after the game against the Michigan State Spartans on November 22, 2008 at Beaver Stadi

Hey, I'm a Nittany Lion. I've got to give my guys some love here, and I couldn't put one on the list but not the other.

I could see one of them in the running, but they're longshots to win it all.

9. DeMarco Murray

Murray's got the talent to win the award, but he just needs to stay healthy. If he does that, he has a good chance.

8. Dez Bryant

SAN DIEGO, CA - DECEMBER 30: Wide Receiver Dez Bryant #1 of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys catches the ball and runs in for a touchdown against the University of Oregon Ducks during the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium on December 3

Bryant is a special talent, however, WR's rarely win the award. I can't put him any higher than this.

7. Kendall Hunter

AUSTIN, TX - OCTOBER 25: Running back Kendall Hunter #24 of the Oklahoma State Cowboys during play against the Texas Longhorns at Texas Memorial Stadium on October 25, 2008 in Austin, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

He doesn't get a whole lot of attention, but Hunter could definitely do it.

6. Colt McCoy

GLENDALE, AZ - JANUARY 05: Quarterback Colt McCoy #12 of the Texas Longhorns throws a pass against the Ohio State Buckeyes during the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Game on January 5, 2009 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Longhorns defe

I could easily see McCoy taking home the award.

So, why is he at number six?

I just have a hunch that he won't quite get there.

5. C.J. Spiller

ATLANTA - DECEMBER 31: C.J. Spiller #28 of the Clemson University Tigers runs down the field during the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on December 31, 2007 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty Images)

With James Davis drafted by the Browns, Spiller will get all the carries at Clemson.

4. Sam Bradford

MIAMI - JANUARY 08: Sam Bradford #14 of the Oklahoma Sooners throws a passagainst the Florida Gators during the FedEx BCS National Championship game at Dolphin Stadium on January 8, 2009 in Miami, Florida. (Photo by Marc Serota/Getty Images)

Ah, the defending winner.

Bradford could join Archie Griffin as the only two-time Heisman winner.

3. Jonathan Dwyer

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - SEPTEMBER 6: Running back Jonathan Dwyer #21 of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets celebrates in the end zone during their game against the Boston College Eagles on September 6, 2008 at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The

He's the best player at Georgia Tech since Calvin Johnson.

He has a chance to do something Johnson didn't, which is win a Heisman.

2. Jahvid Best

BERKELEY, CA - NOVEMBER 22: Jahvid Best #4 of the California Golden Bears runs against the Stanford Cardinal during an NCAA football game on November 22, 2008 at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California. (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images)

Does Jahvid Best have the "best" chance at winning the Heisman? Not quite, he's close though.

Could he do something that former Cal RB Marshawn Lynch couldn't do? Win a Heisman? Maybe, but one thing is for sure, he's certainly got the talent to do so.

1. Tim Tebow

GAINESVILLE, FL - APRIL 18: Quarterback Tim Tebow #15 of the University of Florida talks with quarterbacks coach Scott Loeffler during the spring football Orange and Blue game April 18, 2009 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. (Photo by

Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman trophy winner, is my pick as the Heisman winner in 2009.

I like seeing a new winner every season, so it's hard for me to put him here.

However, I have to.

Tebow's one of the most phenomenal college quarterbacks I have ever seen play. I don't know how well he transitions to the NFL, but I do know that he's a heck of a college QB.

That's why I chose him as my '09 Heisman winner.
