Daily Talking Point Debate: Will Real Madrid Finally Win La Decima This Year?

La Decima has been in the thoughts of Real Madrid supporters for 12 years after a sublime Zinedine Zidane strike last won the Champions League for the Bernabeu side in 2002.

The France international lit up Hampden Park in Glasgow when his stunning goal defeated Bayer Leverkusen in the final.

That win represented Real's ninth European Cup victory, but the wait for the 10th still goes on.

The La Liga giants will play host to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their quarter-final on Wednesday night, less than a year after the Bundesliga club defeated Real in the last four.

The Madrid side returned to form with a 5-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at the weekend following successive defeats to Barcelona and Sevilla.

La Decima has remained tantalisingly out of reach for Real for the past 12 years, but will 2014 see Carlo Ancelotti's team and the fans finally realise their dream?
