April Fools' Day was the perfect time for sports teams to try to pull a fast one on their fans.

The Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer decided April 1 was the right day to unveil interesting throwback uniforms. On Tuesday, the team announced that it would wear Caribous of Colorado uniforms, which were last worn during North American Soccer League games back in 1978.

If you don't get a good laugh out of those pictures, something is wrong.

The Rapid announced on their website that the team might wear the uniforms in the team's next home match, which is on April 19. Then again, "perhaps also not."

And in case you were wondering, the team actually did wear these uniforms in the '70s.
