Artists Create Giant Bobbleheads of Pistons' Andre Drummond and Josh Smith
April 1, 2014
Opening Day for Major League Baseball is a day to celebrate. It's such a big event that athletes who aren't even baseball players are celebrated on that day.
In Detroit, the city honored its biggest sports stars with life-sized bobbleheads as part of its “April in the D” campaign. The Parade Company and Display Group created the bobbleheads that were placed outside of Comerica Park.
Here are the six athletes who received the honor this year:
- Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer
- Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter
- Pistons center Andre Drummond
- Pistons forward Josh Smith
- Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard
- Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk
