One of the more curious moments of Manchester United's pre-match press conference for the Champions League quarter-finals came when a journalist asked Ryan Giggs about his own designs on the manager's job at Old Trafford:

Giggs was asked by American reporter if he planned to take over from Moyes. Question blocked by MUFC press officer before Giggs could answer

With Moyes also present at the day's press briefing, it was quite a question to ask, and hardly a surprise that it was blocked before Giggs could answer it.

Besides, what was he going to say? "Yes, I'm glad you've asked me that, because my coup is about to come to fruition?"

Probably not.

Instead, you'd probably have landed up with a platitude—a response along the same lines as this question, which Giggs was asked around the same time:

Asked Giggs if feels he's been under-used. "The relationship (with Moyes) is good. I know I'm not going to play every game. You can't sulk."
