DETROIT - APRIL 06: Head coach Roy Williams of the North Carolina Tar Heels looks on in the second half against the Michigan State Spartans during the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship game at Ford Field on April 6, 2009 in Detr

The North Carolina Tar Heels are still celebrating their most recent championship, and Tyler Hansbrough's class won't be forgotten for quite some time. UNC fans expect a fallout from last year, and they aren't far from the truth, losing Danny Green, Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Tyler Hansbrough couldn't possibly not hurt a team, but Tar Heels fans shouldn't despair.

As is custom in North Carolina basketball history, as soon as a group of stars leave, it becomes time to welcome in the newest group of stars, players only a couple years away from becoming household names all over the great basketball state of North Carolina. Sure, Duke may win a game or two this year, but the Tar Heels are a young and very promising group of freshmen and sophomores, with a senior sprinkled here and there, and they will learn and grow unter the seasoned tutelage of Coach Roy Williams.

High School standouts Dexter Strickland, John Henson, Leslie McDonald, and twins David and Travis Wear are already being talked about as potential NBA lottery picks, with special attention paid to Henson. These newcomers may take some time to learn to play together and become accustomed to eachother's individual styles, but before long even the Dookies down in Durham will have to acknowledge the talent and depth in this Tar Heel squad.

Yeah Kentucky will be good. Of course, Memphis always reloads. Even Duke had a fair recruit group. But watch out for these boys in baby blue, they will be formidable.

It's time to meet UNC's new class of six-star recruits, and coupled with returning stars Marcus Ginyard Ed Davis, Deon Thompson, Larry Drew II and Tyler Zeller, the Tar Heels will definitely catch some teams by surprise next year.

And now, announcing your 2009/2010 North Carolina Tar Heels...you'll see them next when they're cutting down the nets in 2011.
