All-Troublemaker Fantasy Football Team
To be quite honest, I am not sure this would be a winning football team. But man would they be feared.
Not to make too light of the crimes some of these guys have committed/been accused of committing. Some have been convicted of heinous acts against mankind that should be punished appropriately. But at some point during their lives, good/great football players they are/were.
Everyone welcome Marc back to the blog after a brief vacation and let him know if he missed any criminal player(s) of significance in the comments.
With the recent release of Michael Vick from prison, I decided to take a look at the best fantasy players that have been arrested or in trouble with the law.
Quarterback Michael Vick, Leavenworth
Vick—“Who let the dogs out?!?”—can contribute to the All-Troublemaker team with his feet, rocket arm and escape-ability.
Dishonorable mention: Ryan Leaf
Running Backs
Jamal Lewis, Saufley Field
Lewis has been one of the better power backs in the past 10 years. Not only can he get you tough yards and short touchdowns, but he knows a guy that can hook you up.
OJ Simpson, Lovelock Correction Center
Simpson is considered one of the greatest running backs in NFL history. He can escape a murder accusation and a blitzing middle linebacker, but his most recent arrest suggests he may be losing a step.
Dishonorable mention: Lawrence Phillips, Maurice Clarett
Wide Receivers
Plaxico Burress, New York
Burress might not ever spend time in prison, but he has been arrested. If Plax can catch a bullet, he can catch anything.
Brandon Marshall, Atlanta
Marshall’s arrest records suggest he is desitined to play for the Raiders or Bengals. I hope he straightens his act up because that would be fantasy football suicide.
Dishonorable mention: Rae Carruth, Donte Stallworth
Tight End
Daniel Graham, Arapahoe Country
Graham’s best days were in New England, but he was arrested for damaging a bed post after an argument with his ex-girlfriend. That’s the kind of fire I’m looking for in my tight ends on the field.
Dishonorable mention: Jerramy Stevens
