Brooklyn Nets reserve Jorge Gutierrez inserted himself into Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats in a big way, tackling Bobcats big man Cody Zeller to the ground and earning himself a flagrant-2 foul and an ejection.
Update: Friday, March 28, 4:18 p.m. ET
Gutierrez has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for the foul. Gutierrez, however, was on a 10-day contract with the Nets at the time, which earns him $28,834--meaning this fine will cost him 52% of his salary.
Luckily for Gutierrez, the Nets recently signed him for the rest of the season, meaning he won't go bankrupt if he earns another fine.
---End of update---
The Bobcats got two fouls shots and the ball, resulting in four points on the possession.
