The aftermath of TNA Lockdown has produced several exciting episodes of Impact Wrestling in recent weeks, and the company is now shifting into overdrive as it begins preparing for the next pay-per-view, Sacrifice, on April 27.
The action this week will be intense. The feud between James Storm and Gunner reaches another level as the two men prepare for an Unlocked match. After Storm knocked out Gunner’s dad with a beer bottle, this bout will feature no disqualifications and no count-outs, and falls count anywhere.
It’s going to get physical in the Impact Zone.
Add the issues surrounding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship scene and the developing feud between Bully Ray and Bobby Roode, and this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling should live up to the hype surrounding it.
Here is all the vital viewing information for Thursday’s flagship program and a full preview for hardcore and casual wrestling fans alike.
Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla.
When: Thursday, March 27 at 9 p.m. ET (pre-taped)
Watch: Spike TV
James Storm and Gunner Get Personal
While TNA has several exciting storylines going on at the same time, the most interesting battle has been the angle between James Storm and Gunner. After the former tag team partners screwed each other out of world title shots, the feud turned incredibly personal.
Storm is relishing his role as a heel and has gone all-in. Whether it was telling Gunner that no one would have cared if he had died while serving in the military or brutally attacking Gunner's father with a beer bottle, Storm has done everything to push the limit.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Which Star Will Win the Match?
The two foes will go to battle in a one-of-a-kind Unlocked match on Thursday. The rules of the bout consist of no disqualifications and no count-outs, and falls count anywhere. The format will help both men express just how personal this feud has become.
Gunner managed to take home the victory at Lockdown in a Last Man Standing match, and the stage has been set for Storm to earn a victory and even the series. Storm has serious heel heat after his attack on Gunner’s dad, and giving him the win Thursday would add more excitement to the next chapter.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Birds with One Stone
This storyline has given new life to Storm after years of stagnating as a generic face, and the full-blown heel turn has helped Impact Wrestling discover one of the most enthralling bad guys the company has built over the last five years.
Storm has been great as the despicable heel.
Gunner has also emerged as a serious asset for TNA throughout this rivalry as he has gotten more comfortable on the mic and in the ring. Storm has really helped Gunner find himself as a wrestler during this program, and this storyline has built both men as future world title contenders.

The World Title Scene, Bully Ray vs. Bobby Roode and More
While much of the focus of this week’s episode will be on the PPV-quality match between Storm and Gunner, fans want to see what’s next for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship scene after Samoa Joe lost once again due to interference from Abyss.
With MVP getting involved last week, Magnus taking advantage of the situation to steal the win and Eric Young still dealing with his beatdown at the hands of Abyss, where this angle goes next has fans excited. Whether it’s another rematch for Samoa Joe or a multi-man match for the title, look for MVP to start laying the groundwork for the championship match at the Sacrifice PPV on this week’s episode.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Will Bully Ray Get His Hands on Bobby Roode?
As exciting as the world title scene has become, one of the best segments on last week’s broadcast was the brutal attack of Bully Ray orchestrated by Bobby Roode. After Bully cut a great promo to the back of Dixie Carter's empty chair, Roode beat him down and stated that his mission was revenge due to Bully’s interference in the Lethal Lockdown match.
Bully Ray has beaten down almost everyone else in Roode’s stable of friends, but he has yet to get his hands on "It Factor." With this feud clearly leading to a PPV match, the hope is that the two men go face to face. If Bully doesn’t get his hands on Roode until the PPV, it will make the payoff that much sweeter.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Beautiful People
After making her return to Impact Wrestling, Angelina Love is already up to her old tricks, brutally attacking Knockouts champion Madison Rayne on last week’s episode. Now, the two women will go one-on-one in a fierce battle this Thursday.
Velvet Sky already committed to joining the Beautiful People faction before seeing the footage of the attack, and the potential drama between Sky and Love should make for an entertaining segment.
It’s going to be an exciting broadcast of TNA’s flagship program.
