The Manchester derby is always huge and often sends one team on its way to a league title.

But this season, only one of these marquee clubs has a chance to win the league title, and Manchester City is a rare Premier League betting favorite on the road.

Manchester United, sitting seventh in the EPL table 15 points back of Chelsea, have won two straight including coming back from a two-goal deficit to win at home against Olympiakos.

But other than advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals, it has not been a typical season for Man U.

Man City is in third place in the league table, but they have the upper hand in winning the league title. They are six points back of Chelsea, but they have played three fewer matches than the Blues.

If City wins out, they will win the league title. After facing United at Old Trafford on Tuesday, they face Arsenal and Liverpool in two of their next three matches.

Sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com had England Premier League betting odds for this match with City posted at plus-115, United posted at plus-250 and a draw line of plus-260.

Old Trafford has not been the awesome home-field advantage it usually is, as five of Man U’s nine losses this season have come on their home pitch.

Earlier this season, City drubbed United 4-1.

Since losing at home to Chelsea, City is unbeaten and they have won their last three league matches. Their defense has been stellar as of late, not giving up a goal in their last four matches. In their last two matches, they have scored seven goals, including five in their last match.

Yaya Toure leads City in goals, and he scored a hat-trick in his last match. He is the key for the City offense, especially since second-leading scorer Sergio Aguero is out for this match due to an injury.

United has had their issues this season, but they have won two straight, both with clean sheets.

Wayne Rooney scored both goals for United’s last win, and he has to shine in this match with Robin van Persie out for several weeks with a knee injury. He and Danny Welbeck (nine goals) have to pace the offense for United in this big derby.

In the earlier loss to City, United won the time-of-possession battle (58 percent to 42 percent), but they had four fewer shots. At least Man U will not be facing Aguero, who found the back of the net twice in the match.

United could really use a win not only to stay in the race for the top four, but also to boost their confidence. In their matches facing the top four clubs (Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Arsenal), they have just a single win this season.

Prediction: 1-1 draw
