Arizona 84, Gonzaga 61
This time around, Arizona didn't need two overtimes to get past Gonzaga in the round of 32.
The Wildcats destroyed the same team that took them to two extra periods back in 2003 in a third-round clash in San Diego.
Arizona's defense forced 21 turnovers and it did not let Gonzaga settle into an offensive rhythm all night.
Sean Miller's team saw five different players reach double figures with Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson leading the way with 18 each.
Nick Johnson also contributed 17 to make Miller the second member of his family to reach the Sweet 16 after brother Archie advanced with Dayton on Saturday.
Only two Gonzaga players scored over 10 with Przemek Karnowski netting 14. He also pulled down 10 rebounds in defeat.
The Wildcats will now move on to play No. 4 San Diego State in Anaheim on Thursday night.
