Tottenham Hotspur vs. Southampton: Live Player Ratings for Spurs and Saints
March 23, 2014
Tottenham resume their timid quest for a UEFA Champions League spot today as they host safely top-half Southampton.
Both sides have little to play for in realists' teams, but the bonus ball here is that each team plays a good brand of attacking, exciting football.
Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with the Spurs job in recent days, per The Guardian, to add a little extra spice to the tie.
Join us for live coverage starting 30 minutes prior to kick-off, and we'll be grading the players live—at half-time and full-time—right here.

Lloris: Essentially left stranded and helpless for Saints' goals; Didn't see much action otherwise.
Naughton: Really struggled with Rodriguez and was directly at fault for the first goal.
Kaboul: Hardly exuded confidence, but stepped up to catch Rodriguez offside several times.
Vertonghen: Bent but didn't break; Struggled with movement and pace all game.
Rose: A very suspect showing from the left-back once again.
Lennon: Aggressively ran at Shaw, but got almost nowhere on the flank.
Bentaleb: A relatively sub-standard showing from the Algerian; failed to control any part of the midfield.
Chadli: One nice run, but did very little to impact the game.
Dembele: A little anonymous from Dembele in the centre.
Eriksen: Was a non-factor on the left for long periods, but scored a crucial goal in the first half.
Soldado: A moment of genius saw him flick Chadli in on goal, but opportunities for the Spaniard were limited.

Boruc: Made two vital stops just before half-time, but had a quiet half overall.
Clyne: His hashed clearance allowed Eriksen to score, and his position in the side comes under scrutiny again.
Fonte: Dealt with the movement of Soldado rather well. An accomplished showing.
Lovren: His usual solid self; always in the right place at the right time.
Shaw: Excellent in bottling up Lennon and Co.; An attacking presence, came close to a goal.
Ward-Prowse: Hasn't been noticeable—that's neither positive or negative.
Cork: Broke up attacks in central channels well and tried to spark counters quickly.
Davis: Quietly effective, strong running, accomplished passing. Underrated.
Lallana: A tricky, superb showing from Lallana. Slotted his goal home brilliantly.
Rodriguez: A constant threat on the break and over the top. Spurs failed to deal with him.
Lambert: Utilised clever movement to engineer space, but a lack of pace let him down.
