The No. 3 seed Iowa State Cyclones go head-to-head in the third round with the No. 6 seed North Carolina Tar Heels.

The Cyclones, led by Georges Niang, scored 24 points and snagged 6 rebounds in the win over N.C. Central.

With the help from James McAdoo, North Carolina was able to sneak out a close win as they got past Providence.
