James McDonald was named PCL pitcher of the week. He has struck out 23 batters in has last two outings. He set a new Isotopes record for the most strike outs in a game yesterday striking out 13. He pitched seven shutout innings. James was interviewed in the Isotopes pregame show today and he said the he has been working with Isotopes pitching coach Jim Slaton. What ever they are working on keep doing it. Mcdonald has pitched 13 innings without giving up a run. I don't think he will be an Isotope much longer, so if you want to see him his spot in the rotation come up Friday night at Isotopes park.

A J Ellis was recalled back to the Dodgers.

J D Closser was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to Triple-A Albuquerque.  He takes A J Ellis's spot on the Isotopes roster.
