Delaware just didn't have an answer for Adreian Payne, who set a Michigan State tournament record and career-high with 41 points during the Spartans' 93-77 Round of 64 victory in Spokane.

The senior big man erased the Hens' Carl Baptiste from the equation, shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and scored 23 points in the first half. He also made 17 of 17 attempts from the line.

Travis Trice put forth one of his top efforts thus far, scoring an impressive 19 points while pushing the tempo in the second half.

Delaware's Davon Usher scored 20, while Devon Saddler contributed 21.

The No. 4-seeded Spartans face No. 12 Harvard on Saturday.
