MLB Team Needs 2014: Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays have learned to game the system and will just go right along winning 90 games with a relatively paltry budget.

They rank 27th among MLB franchises in estimated total payroll, via Sportrac.

Yet here we are considering holes on a team that seems fairly devoid of them. Tampa Bay comes into 2014 with solid pitching, stout defense and enough young talent to make any general manager jealous.

As we well know, there is no such thing as perfection, and the Rays do have their weaknesses, which we will dive into with this video.

There is reason to worry that the likes of James Loney or Wil Myers will struggle to replicate the entirety of their magnificence from last year.

The fact that the Rays will lean on a couple of 36-year-old arms should also worry fans, but please don’t fret too much.

The overall theme to this video is that the Rays are, as they have been for nearly a half-decade, just fine.

However, we would love to hear what you have to stay about the steady ship about to embark on another successful campaign.
