(insert terrible Tyler PhotoShop of Manny Parra’s head exploding)
So everyone knows, Manny Parra was optioned to Triple-A Nashville mid-game on Saturday. To some it was long overdue, but I think all Brewers fans knew while watching him walk off the field Saturday, after only retiring four hitters, that he was on his way down.
While some may hope to never see his face or hear his name ever again, I personally am holding out hope for a Dave Bush-like tournaround.
Do I think it will happen?
In fact, Jared has a better chance of making his future marriage work and producing a kid with some sliver of athletic talent than Parra has of putting an ultimately solid ‘09 season together.
But a man can dream, right?
Because of this far-fetched dream, I’ve already found myself wondering what’s going on with Mr. Head Case. So that leaves me with this little so-called column: Tracking Manny Parra. I’ll keep minor track of where he’s at during his trek. So the five people that actually read this site and care about Parra will stay relatively up to date.
First Tracking Manny Parra update: Manny Parra will likely make his first start for the Nashville Sounds this Thursday against the Oklahoma City Redhawks. Throw strikes!
