Michael Pineda can no longer win the Yankees' No. 5 starter's job. He can only lose it. After his performance Tuesday, holding a pseudo-Red Sox squad to four hits and no runs, striking out five in 4 1/3 innings, there's no longer any reason to ask Joe Girardi what the 25-year-old right-hander needs to do to win the spot.
