Maryland guard and locally-renowned swag star Greivis Vasquez has until 5:00 p.m. today to decide if he will enter the 2009 NBA Draft.

Greivis may be excitable, but he’s not stupid. The last thing you want as a player with the kind of versatility and size that Vasquez has is to be relegated to extensive tours in the D-League just because most scouts and executives think he should’ve stayed in school. It’s often not about talent as much as it is perspective, and Vasquez just hasn’t wowed the scouts into believing him to be a future part of any regular NBA rotation.

He will return to College Park to position himself to be the ACC Player of the Year, win the ACC Championship, and will himself into the lottery.
