The Copa MX 2014 reaches the final eight, as Mexico's best teams fight it out for a place in the semi-final.

Monterrey, Pachuca, Dorados, Veracruz, UANL, Atlante, Alebrijes and Queretaro will all battle in quarter-final action to see who will progress and eventually lift the trophy this season.

Monterrey and Alebrijes were the form teams of the group stages; both were unbeaten. However, both teams' performances in the Copa MX have not been reflected in their general form, with Monterrey losing their last five in all competitions.

Here is a list of the upcoming fixtures with kick-off times and stream info, followed by a quick preview of each.

Monterrey vs. Pachuca

Pachuca are the favourites to proceed to the semi-final after an uncomfortable run of form for Monterrey.

The two sides have played each other three times in recent weeks, with Pachuca being victorious on each occasion. They won the tie 3-2 at Monterrey and then 2-0 twice at home, giving them momentum and confidence ahead of this match.

Monterrey's form, meanwhile, has been a disaster, as they have lost their last five games. Their performances are in stark contrast with the great form they have showed earlier in the Copa MX competition.

As a result, both teams are on opposite trends, and it will take a drastic change in form on both sides for Pachuca to drop this one.

Dorados vs. Veracruz

Veracruz will feel they have victory locked up as they travel to Dorados in this quarter-final tie. This is because the away side are unbeaten in four of their last five matches.

They recently beat Leon and also won twice against Chiapas, both home and away.

Being able to perform with that kind of consistency is key and will be a true factor in this match.

Dorados have only won once in their last four matches after recently beating Guadalajara. They'll need to get out to an early start so as not to fall behind a surging Veracruz team.

UANL vs. Atlante

UANL are arguably the form side left in the competition and will put that to the test when they host Atlante.

The home side have been unbeaten in their last five, but their opponents are also on a strong run.

With two goalless draws against Guadalajara and Puebla, UANL defeated Cruz Azul 3-0 and Puebla 8-0. They most recently defeated Puebla again, this time 1-0 away.

Atlante have won two and drawn two from their last four matches and will feel they can continue their good form. Two recent games against Morelia and Queretaro ended in victory, but three matches against Pumas UNAM saw them struggle.

Two of those games ended in draws, but the most recent fixture saw Pumas win 5-0.

Alebrijes vs. Queretaro

Alebrijes will be confident of progressing against Queretaro, despite their own indifferent results of late.

The home side have only won two of their previous five, and are without a victory from their last three. Their recent victories came over Universidad Guadalajara and Lobos BUAP.

However, they had also lost to Lobos 1-0 just weeks before.

Queretaro are in poor form, having lost four of their last five. Their solitary victory of late came against Atlas, where they won 1-0.

They'll need to be better offensively to have a chance in this clash, though it should prove to be a low-scoring affair.
