Every year, some college basketball teams have the right to be ticked off at the NCAA selection committee once the tournament field is announced. This year, the Louisville Cardinals have arguably the biggest beef of any team.

The Cardinals had a good enough resume to earn a 1-seed, but it looked like they would likely be a 2-seed or 3-seed at worst. The selection committee shocked many when it announced that Louisville was a 4-seed.

Louisville finished the season at 29-5. Coach Rick Pitino thought his team had done enough to earn a 1-seed, via ESPN College Basketball.

Despite being ranked No. 5 at the end of the regular season, the Cardinals received a 4-seed in the 2014 NCAA tournament. They are the defending national champions, and they won the American Athletic Conference regular-season title (shared) and the conference tournament.

Louisville freshman Terry Rozier was among those who found his team's seeding perplexing. He and his teammates probably feel a little disrespected, but they can use their seeding as motivation.
