The Philadelphia 76ers have become such a joke of a basketball team that even their shoes no longer function properly. Tony Wroten lost the sole of his sneaker during Friday's loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Of course, sneaker deficiency doesn't only strike the league's bottom feeders. Manu Ginobili of the first-place San Antonio Spurs also suffered a recent shoe malfunction.

Why are we paying so much for these sneakers if they're just going to fall apart?
