Iowa State 94, Kansas 83
The Iowa State Cyclones finally got the win they were looking for for quite some time.
Iowa State beat Kansas for the first time in six meetings at the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City.
The Cyclones advanced to the tournament final, where they will play either Texas or Baylor, thanks to a second-half surge led by Georges Niang.
Niang scored a team-high 25 points and he was one of five Iowa State players to reach double digits.
Niang helped exploit the absence of Joel Embiid in the paint with a spectacular performance throughout the game for Fred Hoiberg's team.
Andrew Wiggins and Perry Ellis combined for 52 of Kansas' 83 points, but no other Jayhawk scored over nine points.
