The Los Angeles Lakers are in an unfamiliar position this year as they are on track to have a lottery pick in the 2014 NBA draft, so they need to be evaluating the top college prospects over the next few months.
It looks like Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak has his eye on Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins. He is probably just wishing that Wiggins was in purple and gold right now.
The Lakers are tied for the fourth-worst record in the NBA at 22-43, so a high lottery pick could be in the cards.
