Jameis Winston could have spent the day after winning the 2014 BCS National Championship celebrating with his Florida State teammates, but the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner reportedly took some time to reach out to a celebrity who was behind bars.

According to TMZ Sports, Winston decided to give Lil Boosiewho was in prison at the timea call.

Winston has made it known that he is a big Boosie fan. He also made it public that he listened to the rapper before the Seminoles played the Auburn Tigers for the national championship on Jan. 6.

The day after he was crowned national champion, Winston reportedly gave Boosie a buzz.

"We chopped it up...I told him I was a fan of his also," Boosie told TMZ Sports.

The rapper also reportedly told the freshman quarterback to "stay focused." Even though Boosie is an LSU fan, he apparently has no problem rooting for Winston at Florida State.

Winning a Heisman Trophy and a national championship in the same year certainly has its perks.
