The Denver Broncos are doing everything they can to scoop up as many star NFL free agents as possible, and it's all thanks to general manager John Elway's philosophy.
Elway, who won two Super Bowls as the Broncos' quarterback, compares free agency to dating:
Elway, " I view free agency like dating, if you didn't want me to scoop them up then you have treated them better" #BroncosNation— Eric Weidner (@ESPNWeidner) March 12, 2014
That's one way to look at things.
Elway's philosophy appears to be working. Denver has signed safety T.J. Ward, cornerback Aqib Talib and defensive end DeMarcus Ware in the past 24 hours. The Broncos also inked quarterback Peyton Manning a few years ago.
