Not to mention Charles Scott, the feature running back, who may not be known for speed but is plenty fast and is a PUNISHING down field runner who is among the best in the nation at his position.
The word out of camp* is that Coach Crowton is having a field day developing schemes to get all of these weapons loaded into the offense. No doubt some formations will resemble the single wing (a.k.a Wildcat, Wild hog, now Wild Rebel, etc…) becoming ever more popular since the Razorbacks started using it so effectively under then head coach Huston Nutt and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.
The Tiger’s version (I personally dislike the ‘Wild Tiger’ as it not original so I am proposing ‘Geaux Wild’ as the moniker for the Tigers special formations) of this offense has the potential to be something very special.
Whatever they do with the offensive sets, one thing is sure, speed does kill and the tigers have plenty of it!
