Yankees Bats Go Cold Against Nieve In 6-2 Loss To Mets

Really, New York Yankees? One day after pounding Livan Hernandez, K-Rod, and Mets' pitching, you look like absolute garbage against Fernando Nieve. FERNANDO NIEVE! He hasn't started a game since 2006 when he was a member of the Houston Astros, yet he throws 6.2 IP only allowing 2 runs and 4 hits in his first start in 3 seasons.

This is ridiculous! We make Matt Palmer, Brad Penny, and now Fernando Nieve look like Cy Young. If the Yankees play like this on Sunday, Yankees may as well burn their bats, because Santana is 100000000x the pitcher Nieve is.

As for Pettitte, he was roughed up by Mets batters, surrendering 5 runs, and 12 hits in 5 IP. He has looked mediocre against the boys from Queens in his career, 6-5 with a 3.98 ERA.

Yankees bats need to get it going against Santana, because A.J. Burnett has absolutely sucked in his past few starts. Teams like the Boston Red Sox (who by the way have a 3 game lead in the AL East) had no problem taking him out of the game early, but with Santana looking like Santana, it's easier said than done.

Go Yankees.
