Hull City's David Meyler produced the most topical of goal celebrations on Sunday, headbutting the corner flag is what was surely a reference to last weekend's incident with Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew.

Pardew, as per the Daily Mail, will face an FA disciplinary committee on Tuesday after admitting a charge of misconduct.

He has already been fined £100,000 by Newcastle for his touchline clash with Meyler, which saw Pardew butt heads with the Hull player.

When Meyler scored in Hull's 3-0 FA Cup win against Sunderland on Sunday, there was no doubting the inspiration for his celebration.
